(1) If the government of Nepal feels that it is necessary to dig tunnels around the place of ancient monuments for the purpose of protection of ancient monuments or to control the work of excavating the ground with explosive materials, it shall publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and dig tunnels accordingly. or explosives may be prescribed so that the land is not allowed to explode.

(2) A person who violates sub-section (1) shall be fined up to ten thousand rupees or imprisoned for up to one and a half years or both.
